Jon Long, a stand-up and musical comedian, has carved a niche for himself with his upbeat and amiable stage presence. Renowned for his witty and acerbic comedy songs, he has become a favorite on the vibrant London live circuit, gracing the stages of esteemed clubs like Angel Comedy, Top Secret, and The Comedy Store. Jon's comedic talents have not only resonated in the UK but have also taken him across Europe, leaving audiences entertained and eager for more. A seasoned performer at the Edinburgh Fringe, Jon took center stage in 2018 by hosting the prestigious AAA Showcase at The Pleasance. The following year marked a significant milestone as he made his acclaimed solo-show debut with 'Planet Killing Machine,' produced by Mick Perrin Worldwide.
The success of this venture led to the development of the show for BBC Radio 4.
On July 1st, 2021, Jon's environmental comedy, 'Extinction Compendium,' written and presented by him, made its debut broadcast on BBC Radio 4. Produced by Jon Holmes of Unusual Productions, the half-hour show featured biologist Gillian Burke and HDM’s Alasdair Beckett-King. Building on this achievement, Jon has gone on to record and broadcast three additional episodes of his environmental comedy for Radio 4, collectively known as 'Carbon Lifeforms.' The fourth installment, a Christmas Special, aired on the 17th of December 2023, featuring climate scientist Dr. Tara Shone and produced by Jon Holme
