After university, Richard’s career began in the technology sector and channel over 25 years ago. His long-held view is that the channel can play a vital role in making technology and UK business more sustainable. Starting out in enterprise sales, his sales career grew into a broader operations leadership role, where understanding the workings of every part of the business helped to develop significant growth and operational gain. After completing a management buyout in 2018, the business became one of Cisco’s top Gold Partners in the UK and expanded its capabilities to become a true technology transformation partner across multiple industries. In 2022, Richard founded CARE, CAE’s sustainability brand with its ambition framework linked to the UN Sustainable Development Goals. Most recently, in 2025, the sale of CAE was completed. Richard believes all elements of sustainability should be under the spotlight, not just environmental goals. In particular, the impact we can have on social value in communities and the circular economy piece are as important to act on.
